Help Us Bring Two Classrooms Back to Life

A building with two classrooms at the historic Patterson School campus is waiting to serve the community again. With your help, we can transform it into a safe, welcoming home for hands-on education, Scouting, and service.

The Patterson School Foundation, the Cap Wiese Fly Fishing Center, and the Southern Fly Tyers Guild are working together to restore this valuable community space. Once completed, the building will become the new home of Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 271 while also providing much-needed room for fly-tying and fly-fishing education.

Our Goal: $10,000

Before these classrooms can welcome students, Scouts, veterans, instructors, and volunteers, the building must be brought up to habitable standards. Donations will help fund:

Installation of a new HVAC system

Replacement of damaged or outdated roof tiles

Replacement of the flooring

Other essential work needed to make the classrooms safe and usable

Restoring this building will allow us to expand our popular Tie for a Cause Saturdays, offer additional fly-tying and fly-fishing instruction, and provide more opportunities for Scouts and veterans to learn from experienced volunteer instructors.

This project is about much more than repairing a building. It is about creating a place where young people can develop confidence and leadership, veterans can find fellowship and purpose, and generations can come together to preserve the traditions of fly tying, fly fishing, conservation, and community service.
